Pictorial 162

If, in fact, balance and symmetry are spontaneous formulations of the universe - see UVS website prev. - then they are also outside a universe of data-collection, vis lenses (HB170).

The world of science is obsessed by straight lines (light) since it's the only way of gathering information that is appealing to the ego of acolytes (of sorcerers of the mirror of illusions).

Darwin, as has been mentioned, has metamorphosed into neo-Darwinism or DNA, for that reason. The spokespeople of this system - such as David Atten-bore and his mini-acolyte Thunberg - are for sure not spokespeople for the underworld of mythical renown.

They are spokespeople for the apparent order of the natural world in terms of the evolution of DNA via competition between species. Competition is basically a mechanism that is easy to apply to the data on DNA.

When Atten-bore speaks of nature, he is meaning an order much like the scientific order (and ditto Thunberg, natch.)

This misses out the entire fertile area of living things which die and sink to the sea bottom or are eaten by worms. The underworld is every bit as powerful as the living one, and is the reason why earth and sea and air are fertile areas.

Of course, it's called the carbon-cycle, but it doesn't come into evolutionary theory. Unfortunately, without the carbon-cycle there could be no life of any kind. Fertility is far more fundamental than evolution.

Dealing in cyclical areas always implies balance and symmetry. Again, these principles are vastly more relevant than evolution.

By evolution, what scientists implicitly mean is robot-evolution; a sterile concept that is related to data-collection and induction (see C4-6 Newton). This is the world we inhabit, but it is the polar opposite to the natural order.

The natural order is the mythical chase of Diana of the moon, the fertile order of hunter and prey and activity in the night, blood in the forest.

A fertile order is intrinsically symmetrical, and this is the one component that is fundamental. Fertility and dirt and decay are linked concepts. In ancient societies baths are highly ritual events for ridding the body of stench and dirt that are associated with decay.

In the Conan story, foul-smelling fungus is at the root of the problem. They traverse caverns which are a type of underworld; Clair Noto utilizes such dodgy vistas in Red Sonja (see prev.)

The underworld in the ancient world and in fantasy is the strong and visceral and slightly decaying area that heroes can traverse.

In terms of societies, these natural cycles imply a type of untidiness that lets flowers grow over wasteland, and in a way uses wasteland as raw building material (see example of Pompeii where waste was piled against a wall then filled-in).

The concept of waste building depends on one's sensitivity to smell. Conan was more hardy than Valeria, in the story, and took-in a mouthful of the fungi for sustenance.

The decay of waste products is a strong and fertile area indispensable for organic gardens and farms in the form of compost. Strength is a sign of cleanliness in that compost is a clean product of waste products via the process of decay.

These cyclical areas are essentially healthy and invigorating. A body exposed to pathogens and to the process of decay is stronger and healthier.

Our modern societies are run by information when, in fact, a type of anarchy is far more robust and strong.

Going back to Lloyd Price's memoir (P161), this natural anarchic strength comes out in the overtly sexual dance that he describes in the 'Jooks'.

Now, why I'm making it a colored.. connotation here is because, if you remember, Roy Brown had recorded the song There's Good Rockin' Tonight. That was just about three or four years back..

Now, I told you about The Belly Movement. It was simply when your woman rolled her stomach against yours. Everybody knew that movement. I also told you about Billy Ekstine's Jelly Roll. Do you think it's just a coincidence where the term rock 'n roll came from?

..Bill Haley became an overnight sensation by using the same rhythm as Roy Brown, the Liggins Brothers, Gatemouth Brown, T-Bone Walker and others. And guess what? It wasn't called "race music".. (page 35)

Well, I've seen such things in discos. It's the way nature works, friends. Anarchy relates to the natural processes of the body that cannot be governed by information (that cannot be told to wear masks and be an automaton).

Dancing is a spontaneous process, and he relates how his million seller Lawdy Miss Clawdy became the first step in desegregation, with mixed teens dancing in Louisiana hotspots.

Whites wanted to sing and dance like Blacks. Blacks wanted to sound like whites. All this occurred from that one song! (page 45)

The sexual and the fertile and the anarchic in nature are interrelated. Minnie Riperton (P161) is known for her explicit lyrics, and I suspect the reference to man, seed, flower in Les Fleurs has such a connotation.

That's the nature of anarchy, where seeds grow and the spirit soars. The modern order crushes both - possibly inadvertently - in the fruitless quest for logical pathways of order in a spontaneous universe of passion.

Minnie is organic and flourishing; modern songwriters (such as Diana Warren) tend to be robotically accomplished, with a lack of sexual intonation and hence spiritual meaning. The social-physical and the psyche cannot be separated where spontaneity and anarchy are given their rightful headway. That world cannot be governed by the deceitful words of acolytes and their political brethren.
